Loss of hair from scalp or anywhere from the body is called hair fall.
Most common types of hair fall are:
- Male or female pattern baldness: is a permanent hair loss from the scalp due to genetic reasons, causing baldness.
- Alopecia areata: Sudden loss of hair that starts with one or more circular bald patches, commonly caused when the immune system attacks hair follicles and also severe stress.
- Telogen effluvium: is excessive shedding of hair after some metabolic stress, hormonal changes, or medication.
- Anagen effluvium: is a form of nonscarring alopecia commonly associated with chemotherapy. In this disorder, affected anagen hairs suffer a toxic or inflammatory insult, resulting in fracture of the hair shaft.
All the above types of hair fall can be treated very successfully at our clinic and results start to show up within 1 month.
